Bye Aerospace, a United States based manufacturer of an innovative eFlyer family of electric aerospace products, currently has 410 eFlyer order backlog – an amazing market validation, said George E. Bye, Founder and CEO of Bye Aerospace.
The Founder and CEO shared a brief message outlining the company’s milestones.
“Much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving weekend. Hard work by the leadership and engineering team has resulted a industry-leading key milestones achieved with the FAA. Mid-year we added financial resources and also two key leaders in Rod Zastrow (President and COO) and Jim Dunn (CFO). Our stockholders, advisors, and board continued their steadfast support. Flight training company customer response has been remarkable, especially since late summer: We have gained 410 eFlyer’s to our customer backlog – amazing market validation. More press will be coming soon with two new Letter’s of Intent to be announced.
Looking back with gratitude also: We have pioneered our way through many stages of a challenging, rigorous engineering and industry-1st FAA process. Over several years of this effort we utilized our eFlyer 2 developmental prototype to test technology, various hardware configurations, and validate predicted performance and economics, (image below from a June, 2020 flight test). With key test results gained, FAA Part 23-conformed design engineering followed, also allowing production industry partners to be selected. Our collective goal now is to finish this process and begin delivering the new, high-tech, electric eFlyer to our great customers.”
One such order comes from European pilot training group OSM Aviation Academy which placed an order for 60 eFlyer2 back in 2019.
“In April 2019, we placed an order for 60 all-electric planes from Colorado-based aircraft manufacturer Bye Aerospace – the largest order for commercial electric planes to date. The electric planes, E-Flyer 2, is planesd for flight training at the OSM Aviation Academy centers to qualify pilots for the future taking an active role in securing sustainability and Green focus in Aviation Training.” shared Hans Kyrre, Executive Director OSM Aviation Academy.
