European Training Aircraft Manufacturer Enters the United States with Successful Airshow Appearance

Elixir Aircraft, the French based part 23 aircraft manufacturer, signed multiple partnership agreements and took dozens of pre-orders and LOIs, for both their 912iS and 915iS Turbo Part 23 aircraft models at its first ever EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

Thousands of airplane owners and flight training organizations came to see the Elixir Aircraft on display from the 25th to the 31st of July at Wittman Regional Airport in the US State of Wisconsin. This led to multiple pre-orders and letters of intent being signed for both the 912iS and the 915iS, totaling 70+ aircraft. This was complemented with financing and rental agreements being signed with Las Vegas based Sky Allies Capital. Elixir Aircraft also signed an Operator and Service Partnership Agreement and pre-orders with Sarasota Florida based Cirrus Aviation. The agreement consists of an initial order of two 912iS aircraft along with Cirrus Aviation becoming Elixir Aircraft’s first certified maintenance partner in North America.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh also provided Elixir Aircraft with a large amount of media attention including multiple video interviews with global aviation outlets such as AOPALive.

Elixir Aircraft was thrilled to show thousands of aviation enthusiasts from around the world both of their 4th generation Part 23 aircraft. Known for their safety and efficiency, the 100-horsepower Rotax 912iS produces a cruise speed of 125 KTAS, and the 140-hp. turbocharged Rotax 915iS yields a 150-KTAS cruise at 75-percent power.

Information about Elixir Aircraft

Elixir Aircraft, a company headquartered in La Rochelle, France, with over 80 employees, was created in 2015 to meet the challenges of Global light aviation. The objective of the French company: to make safer, more economical and more versatile aircraft. Complexity is the reason why current aircraft suffer from failures (technical or human), and are expensive to operate (consumption and maintenance). Elixir aircraft employs a technology from the world of competitive sailing, the Carbon Oneshot, to simplify the structures. More simplicity means less failure, therefore more safety, but also less maintenance, and less costs (estimates of 60$/h of fuel and maintenance)… At the end 2021, Elixir Aircraft opened a new production site in Périgny, Charente Maritime, to internalize the entire production of carbon parts.
