New Zealand – StaplesVR, an Auckland‑based provider of AR/VR and AI‑enhanced workforce training solutions, has kicked off 2026 with a strategic leadership appointment, welcoming Alex Dallas as Chief Financial and Operating Officer to support the company’s ambitious growth and technology expansion plans.

In 2025 AFM reported that immersive technology provider StaplesVR had secured USD 5.25 million in funding to accelerate its development of virtual reality training solutions for airlines and military organizations.

• StaplesVR delivers software-as-a-service (SaaS) VR training modules for aviation and defense sectors.

• The company has built a two-year pipeline of projects, with new funding earmarked to expand and speed up deployment.

• Current applications include:

  • Training aircraft engineers on engine ground runs without aircraft or simulator use

  • Cabin door training for airline crew

  • Naval flight deck officer training in varied daylight, weather, and sea state conditions
