New Zealand Flight School Taking In Vietnamese Cadets

26th Apr 2022

Gisborne, New Zealand based Eagle Flight Training has announced it will receive its first batch of Vietnamese Flight Training cadets again following two years of no international enrolments.

“We have been through some tough times with Covid-19 restrictions, but it definitely feels like we have turned a corner,” said Eagle Flight chief executive Brett Waghorn to the Gisborne Herald.

“The school began this year training 27 students from countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and India. Fourteen students remain, with the rest having returned to their respective home countries after completing their training.

Thirteen students from Vietnam will be joining the course in the next three months. Several students from Papua New Guinea have indicated an interest but have yet to fill in their applications.”

Eagle Flight Training is part of an international aviation group which also owns the first and only Flight School in Vietnam.
