Norway Based Pilot Flight Academy Offers Fully Sponsored Flight Instructor Program in 2024

Pilot Flight Academy (PFA) has reintroduce its fully sponsored Flight Instructor Program, offering a robust foundation for a long-term career in aviation with excellent work schedules and growth opportunities. Please see an extract of the job post below.

Benefits:

  • Participants will enjoy a fully sponsored EASA Flight Instructor course, including ground school, 30 flight hours, assessment flight, and license issuance costs.
  • Graduates will start as full-time flight instructors at PFA with a 12-month bonding period after completing internal training and earning the FI(A)-rating.
  • The program offers a yearly salary of 350,000 NOK, with potential for overtime and further raises upon achieving additional certifications such as Instrument Flight Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor. PFA also covers annual medical fees and necessary revalidations.
  • Advance through a sponsored path to become an Instrument Flight Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor, with corresponding salary boosts. Opportunities also exist to develop learning materials, contribute to Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and Evidence-Based Training (EBT), and train new flight instructors.

Program Details

  • Theoretical Knowledge Instruction: 125 hours covering “Teaching and Learning” and “Theoretical Knowledge,” including 25 hours of theoretical instruction and 15 hours of Advanced Instructional Techniques.
  • Flight Training Syllabi: 15 lessons divided into basic airwork, advanced airwork, and navigation training, each with pre-flight and post-flight briefings.

Eligibility

  • Hold an EASA CPL license. Active students on PFA ATP Integrated Programme can apply once they have passed the 4-31 progress check in the flight training program

The application process is ongoing, with the first course starting in September 2024. Selection process starts in late July/early August.
