Acron Aviation Supplies 2nd Training Device to Aims Community College to Support Growing Aviation Programs

USA Acron Aviation, a leading provider of advanced aviation training solutions, announced an agreement with Aims Community College for the delivery of an E175 Enhanced Flat Panel Trainer. This marks the second training device Acron Aviation has supplied to Aims, further strengthening the college’s capabilities in preparing the next generation of aviation professionals.

The new E175 Enhanced Flat Panel Trainer will provide Aims aviation students with a high-fidelity, hands-on training experience that mirrors real-world cockpit operations. This addition will complement the college’s existing training infrastructure and expand opportunities for students to develop advanced skills in regional jet operations.

About the CFI role:

The CFI is responsible for the supervision and standardisation of all flight and flight simulation instructors, as well as for the standardisation of all flight instruction. The CFI
must hold the highest relevant professional pilot licence and an instructor certificate with the privilege to instruct for at least one of the courses provided.

Note: While the CFI closely monitors training delivery and supports progress reviews, overall student follow-up rests with the HT. The CFI may delegate standardisation and supervision to flight instructors but remains ultimately responsible for quality and standards.

Minimum requirements (per Part -ORA)

  • Mandatory (ORA.ATO.210(b))
    • Highest relevant professional pilot licence and associated ratings related to the courses provided.
    • Instructor certificate with privilege to instruct for at least one of the ATO’s training courses.
  • AMC2 ORA.ATO.210(b)(2)
    • 1,000 hours PIC, of which ≥500 hours on instructional duties related to the courses provided (up to 200 hours may be instrument ground time).
    • CFI may delegate standardisation/supervision but remains ultimately responsible.
