Philippines based Alpha Aviation Group Shares Best Practices to Future Logisticians of the Philippine Air Force
Forty (40) students of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) Logistics Plans Apprentice Course (LPAC) Class 04-2023 visited the Alpha Aviation Group Philippines (AAGP) Simulator Training Center on 09 March 2023 for a learning session about AAG’s best practices in aircraft maintenance operations and resource management. Another 62 students of the Basic Logistics Officer Course (BLOC) Class 11-2023 joined the session via video teleconference.
The students were accompanied by officers from the Philippine Air Force Logistics Training Center (PAFLTC): Col. Rene Sevilla (GSC), Cpt. Alfredo Sison, 1Lt. Ellenor Faith Casupanan, TSg. Randy De Guzman, and TSg. Alfred Padilla. The PAFLTC under the Air Education Training and Doctrine Command (AETDC) provides specialized training and various logistics courses.
Renz Jayson Dilag (Aircraft Maintenance Manager of AAG International Center for Aviation Training or AICAT) provided a comprehensive discussion on how the AICAT Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) integrates and streamlines its processes to ensure safety and reliability of AAG’s trainer aircraft fleet through a comprehensive 100% web-based maintenance resource management system (RMS) by Talon Systems.
Col. Christian Barela (Ret.) (Project Manager, AAGP Defense Division) presented AAG’s initiatives and projects to help the Armed Forces of the Philippines (PAF) in developing a sustainable aviation training and maintenance capability build- up. Col. Neil Bugarin, (Ret.) (AICAT Head of Operations) and Col. Ruel Rombaoa (Ret.) (Head, AAGP Defense Division) were also present as hosts.
