Philippines-based Flight School First Aviation Academy Conducts Competency-Based Training and Assessment and Safety Risk Management Orientation

Subic, Philippines-based First Aviation Academy (FAA) conducted a comprehensive three-day orientation on Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA). The orientation aimed to enhance the skills and safety practices of its pilots and management team. Capt. Christopher R. Natividad, a seasoned commercial pilot and well-known advocate for safety management in the aviation industry, led the orientation.

Capt. Natividad shared his vast knowledge and experience, emphasizing the importance of CBTA in developing pilots who not only meet technical proficiency but also demonstrate the right decision-making, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities. The orientation was designed to align FAA’s training programs with global aviation standards, focusing on measurable competencies that ensure pilots are equipped to handle complex scenarios in today’s aviation environment.
