Pilot and Aircraft Maintenance Training Group Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology Celebrates 95th Anniversary
United States headquartered pilot and aircraft maintenance training group Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology marks its 95th anniversary on September 27, 2023. Since its establishment, Spartan has trained over 100,000 pilots and technicians. Spartan College has campuses located in the following areas: Tulsa, OK; Los Angeles, CA; Inland Empire, CA; and Denver, CO. Spartan students have come from across the United States and over 40 countries.
Spartan College was founded in Tulsa, OK as Spartan School of Aeronautics by W.G. Skelly, President of Skelly Oil Company, on September 27, 1928. He established Spartan Aircraft Company and formed the corporation which built Tulsa Municipal Airport (now called Tulsa International Airport).
