Portugal-based Pilot Training Organisation Becomes the Country’s First Certified APS/MCC Flight School

12th Jun 2024

International Flight Academy’s (IFA), one of the leading flight training organisations based in Portugal, has announced that it is now offering Airline Pilot Standards/Multi-Crew Coordination (APS/MCC) training courses. IFA is currently the only flight school in Portugal to offer this advanced training

The APS/MCC program, regulated by EASA, offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to ensure a smooth transition for pilots. Unlike the unregulated Jet Orientation Course (JOC) and the traditional 20-hour MCC course, the APS/MCC program at IFA includes 42 hours of simulator training using an A320 simulator, and 86 hours of theoretical instruction. This extensive training covers A320 systems, MCC modules, advanced swept wing jet aircraft training, and airline operations scenarios.

Training is conducted using the recently certified FNPT II MCC simulator from Hungarian manufacturer Simnest.
