Saudi Arabia’s GACA Signs MoU with Boeing for AAM Cooperation

Saudi Arabia & USA – The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia and Boeing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in advanced air mobility (AAM).

  • The MoU was signed during a high-level meeting at Boeing’s Long Bridge office in Arlington, Virginia, between H.E. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of GACA, and Mr. Don Ruhmann, Chief Aerospace Safety Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Aerospace Safety at Boeing.

  • Discussions focused on activating Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Air Mobility Roadmap in alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030 aviation goals.

  • Key topics covered in the meeting included:

    • Advancing regulatory frameworks and infrastructure for AAM

    • Exploring joint opportunities for R&D, technology transfer, and investment

    • Accelerating safe and sustainable integration of AAM into Saudi Arabia’s airspace

    • Promoting bilateral innovation and economic cooperation between the Kingdom and the United States

  • The MoU supports the establishment of a safe, sustainable, and scalable ecosystem for advanced air mobility in the Kingdom, encompassing both regulatory development and industry engagement.
