Simaero India General Manager Highlights Growth Plan in Interview with Indian Media
Simaero, the France-headquartered global operator of full flight simulator training centers, has grand plans for its subsidiary in India – Simaero India. In a recent interview with media Khushbeg Jattana, General Manager of Simaero India shared the company’s ambitious plans for India and South Asia. With the Indian aviation sector rapidly expanding, Simaero aims to meet the rising demand for highly skilled pilots through state-of-the-art infrastructure and strategic partnerships.
- Simaero India launched in mid-2023 and aims to establish a simulation training center near Delhi airport by Q4 2024.
- The center will feature eight full-flight simulators bays, starting with an A320 NEO and Boeing B737 NG full flight simulator’s, and later expanding to include the B737 MAX and ATR 72-600 within 24 months.
- Simaero plans to open satellite centers across India, with Kolkata being a top contender, alongside possible expansions in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and neighboring countries like Nepal.
- It wants to meet the demand for type ratings, starting off with conducting 100 type ratings per year on each type and plans to conduct around 1,500 type ratings annually once fully operational.
- Globally, Simaero operates training centers in France, South Africa, and China, with plans to expand its simulator capacity in India to 16 full-flight simulators in the next five to six years.
