Simulator Manufacturer Announces New Dash8 Q400 Simulator

Canadian Simulator Manufacturer Flightdeck Solutions (FDS) has announced and shared pictures of the newest simulator in its fleet – the Dash 8 Q400 cockpit, the FDS-DASH8-Q400-FTD.

Inside the new, custom developed aluminum nose sectional is a highly detailed Q400 flight deck, featuring FDS engineered custom electronics, Brunner Elektronik AG-enabled control-loaded flight controls with real control yokes and columns, and authentic Dash 8 throttle. The device has an optional Motion Cueing package and is designed as a Turboprop trainer that is as tactile and immersive as possible, true to FDS tradition.

“Our teams have worked hard to ensure this device provides a highly realistic training environment and allows cadets to easily transition to real aircraft” said Peter Cos, President of Flightdeck Solutions. “Additionally, seasoned Q400 pilots will no doubt find themselves right at home with the layout and feel of the cockpit”.
