Spartan College Hosts American Airlines Cadet Academy

26th Mar 2023

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology recently hosted American Airlines Cadet Academy to showcase their partnership to aspiring pilots, parents, and the community. In the last quarter of last year, American Airlines Cadet Academy announced its new partnership with Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology for aspiring pilots. Spartan is the Cadet Academy’s first collegiate partner offering an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation Flight and increases its training network to five locations.

“So we do a new class every month, and lately it’s been roughly on average about 18 to 20 students a month,” said Zachary Anglin of Spartan.

“Through this new partnership with Spartan College, American Airlines cadets have an opportunity to earn their FAA certificates and ratings, as well as their Associate of Applied Science degree. The Aviation Flight program at Spartan College can be completed in as few as 17 months with reduced ATP hours, housing options, and financial aid for those who qualify. Certified Flight Instructors may also continue their education to earn a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management degree from Spartan,” said American Airlines in a release last year.

The American Airlines Cadet Academy was launched in 2018 and nationwide currently has about 700 cadets enrolled.
