‘The Pilot Survey 2022’ released by Industry Leaders Goose Recruitment and FlightGlobal

27th Jan 2022

UK headquartered Pilot recruitment organization Goose Recruitment released its 3rd annual ‘Pilot Survey’ together with FlightGlobal – the world’s leading aerospace publisher and content provider.

“In our third year of collaborating, GOOSE Recruitment and FlightGlobal have created The Pilot Survey 2022. We have compiled this unique report once again to establish and highlight trends from a pilot’s perspective. We will uncover trends in careers, reward, confidence, stress, and the attractiveness of the profession.

The Pilot Survey 2022 was open for four weeks and closed on the 21st of November 2021. A total of 1,743 pilots took part in the survey.”

We highly recommend reading the 16 page document which can be downloaded here.

Similar to our view of the reduction in the supply training infrastructure of pilots – the publisher of the survey Mark Charman said: “85% of pilots now believe the sector will be facing a shortage of pilots in five years, despite the difficult time it has faced through the pandemic. If this is true, airlines will need to be acting now.”
