Turkish Flight Training Academy Aligns Training with New Civil Aviation Authority’s Integrated Pilot Examination Platform

06th Sep 2025

Turkiye – Turkey’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) has introduced a new integrated examination system for Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) candidates, effective August 15, 2025. The update, rolled out via the KDM-ORG platform, aims to enhance flexibility, security, and transparency in the licensing process.

  • Two-Stage Examination: Results will now be weighted with 10% from a preliminary exam and 90% from the final exam.

  • Candidate Flexibility: Applicants can log in via e-Government to select their own exam date, time, classroom, and workstation.

  • Check-in Protocols: Candidates must complete preliminary exam check-in before the final exam check-in.

  • Transparent Control Flights: Conducted with control pilots, these will be video-recorded with time and location stamps via SHGM’s mobile application.

  • Integrated Training Providers: Licensed high schools, universities, and private academies with qualified instructors will oversee the associated training.

NorthFLY Flight Academy has adjusted its training schedules and exam preparation pathways to align with the KDM-ORG system, ensuring students adapt smoothly to the new structure.
