UK Flight Training Group Aeros Group Accelerates Growth with Further Tecnam Aircraft Order
United Kingdom – Aeros Flight Training has confirmed a further significant investment in its training operation, committing to the purchase of two additional brand-new Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft, scheduled for delivery later this summer. This latest order builds on the recent expansion of Aeros’ single-engine fleet and brings the total number of new Tecnam aircraft added within the current programme to six, reinforcing the academy’s long-term commitment to operating a modern, efficient, and future-ready training fleet.
The continued investment in Tecnam aircraft forms part of a wider, ongoing expansion across Aeros’ facilities, fleet, and instructional capability, designed to support growing demand for high-quality modular pilot training while maintaining the academy’s focus on safety, reliability, and student experience.
Alongside fleet growth, Aeros is actively expanding its instructor team, ensuring strong instructor availability and consistency across its UK bases. This growth is fully supported by Aeros’ in-house maintenance capability, providing enhanced aircraft availability, rapid technical support, and rigorous maintenance standards as the fleet continues to scale.
The Tecnam P-Mentor’s modern avionics, fuel-efficient performance, and airline-relevant cockpit environment make it ideally suited to Aeros’ modular training programmes. The ongoing transition of Aeros’ SEP fleet to Tecnams will also deliver a meaningful reduction in carbon footprint for the same level of flight activity, supporting more sustainable flight training without compromising capability.
Further fleet investment remains planned as part of Aeros’ phased renewal and growth strategy, including continued development of its multi-engine offering with Diamond aircraft to support advanced training requirements.
Martin Lynch, Chief Operating Officer at Aeros Flight Training, commented:
“This additional Tecnam order reflects both strong demand and our confidence in the direction of the academy. We’re not just adding aircraft, we’re expanding holistically across fleet, facilities, and instructors, all supported by our own maintenance operation. That joined-up approach allows us to grow while protecting the quality, reliability, and student experience that Aeros is known for.”
Mike MacDonald, Fleet Manager, added:
“The Tecnam P-Mentor has proven to be an excellent addition to the Aeros fleet, both operationally and from a maintenance perspective. Its modern design, efficiency, and reliability make it ideally suited to high-utilisation training environments. With our in-house maintenance team supporting a growing fleet, we’re able to maximise aircraft availability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and care as the academy continues to expand.”
This sustained investment positions Aeros Flight Training for the next phase of growth, ensuring students benefit from modern aircraft, experienced instructors, and well-supported facilities across its UK network.
This carefully phased approach ensures Aeros remains at the forefront of UK pilot training—offering a modern, reliable, and future-ready fleet that supports both safety and student success.
