United Kingdom based Helicentre Aviation Academy announced its 2024 Commercial Helicopter Pilot [CPL(H)] Scholarship and Flight Instructor [FI(H)] Sponsorship programs.

The Commercial Helicopter Pilot Scholarship will offer holders of a PPL(H) completed with Helicentre Aviation by 31st July 2024, the chance to apply for full funding of their hour building and commercial pilot training course worth in the region of £70,000, as well as access to a range of fantastic career pathways.

The academy has awarded over £1m in training scholarships, sponsorships and bursaries to dozens of trainee helicopter pilots since the first awards were made in 2013, providing ten years of life-changing career opportunities for their student pilots. Previous scholarship recipients are now employed in a diverse range of helicopter flying roles, including HEMS, Offshore Energy, Search and Rescue, Utility and Pilot Training.

The academy is also seeking applicants who would like an opportunity to be fully-funded through sponsored training for the Flight Instructor course and start working full-time training the next generation of professional helicopter pilots.

To be eligible, one must hold a CPL(H) or be close to attaining his CPL(H). One must also hold a class one medical and be rated on the Cabri G2 (type rating may be obtained at the candidates own cost or may be sponsored). Successful applicants will be offered full-time employment and bonded for their training.
