L3Harris Airline Academy is hiring Specialist Flight Instruction – Single Engine Flight Instructor to provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with the Academy’s approved Training Manuals for the Integrated or Modular flight training courses. Day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Uphold flight safety in every aspect of training and encourage a ‘just culture’ amongst colleagues and traineesConduct each training event in accordance with the approved syllabus, and in compliance with the Academy published schedule/programmeEnsure each cadet is properly briefed and prepared for each training event and conduct a debrief after completion of the eventComplete cadet reports promptly after every training eventMonitor every assigned cadet’s progress and report any training performance problems to the CFI or designated representativeFoster professionalism amongst all cadetsEnsure the Academy’s standards are promoted and maintained throughout trainingMonitor the maintenance condition of the training fleet and report any defects to operations as soon as possibleObserve the highest standard of professionalism in every aspect of this roleMaintain personal license and rating validitiesRetain a valid Class 1 medical. Inform the CFI/DCFI promptly if loss of medical occursMaintain an accurate and true copy of a personal flying logbookComply with all rules and procedures detailed in the Academy Operations ManualAttend administration, standardization and periodic/annual training as required by the CFI/DCFISupport the CFI and DCFI in the conduct of Academy business at CranfieldConduct any other reasonable duties which may, from time to time, be given by the CFI or DCFI

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Flight instructional experience at ab-initio level:Experienced in delivering VFR training on the SEP aircraftA good standard of piloting and instructional skillsFlexibility to adapt learning/teaching styles and to differentiate between cadetsStrong customer care skillsKnowledge of EASA regulationsA good standard of piloting skills and a passion for sharing skills and knowledge with aspiring pilotsFlexibility to adapt learning/teaching styles and to differentiate between cadetsStrong customer care skillsKnowledge of CAA regulationsSelf-motivated, confident and enthusiasticGood team player with strong interpersonal skillsInternational outlookAbility to deal comfortably with various cultures

Qualifications requirements:

Minimum UK SEPFlight Hours:SEP/IFR Minimum 600 FI hoursClass 1 medicalCurrent FI ratingMinimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4
