US Airline Sponsored Aviation Summer Camp Relaunched Amidst Pilot Shortage

01st Aug 2022

ACE Academy in Atlanta has relaunched a week-long summer camp after two-year hiatus. The academy aims to introduce aviation careers to high school students.

The summer camp is sponsored by major US airline, Delta Air Lines, which is currently hiring 200 pilots a month.

According to Keyra Lynn Johnson, Delta’s Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer, the ACE Academy and Delta’s Propel Collegiate Pilot Career Path Program allow the airline to grow the talent that it needs and that both have become nice feeder pool.
