US Airlines announce huge reduction in March flights due to pilot shortage

American Airlines has slashed thousands of its March flights (nearly 40,000 flights) due to pilot shortage, omicron variant, and the delays with the delivery of Boeing 787 planes.
Other airlines have also reduced their flights including United Airlines (reduction of 10,000 flights in March) and Delta (reduction of 30,000 Flights in March). The latest developments come at a time when alone American Airlines has announced its plans to hire as many as 2,000 pilots in 2022.
