Oregon, USA – Hillsboro Aero Academy has launched its new Aviation Maintenance Professional Program, officially inaugurated on September 8, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the enrollment of the first class of 24 students.

• The program was developed over two years of planning and is designed as an accelerated 12-month pathway into the aviation maintenance profession.

• Students will complete a 59-credit curriculum combining classroom instruction with hands-on training, ensuring readiness for all required FAA certification exams.

• The initiative reflects HAA’s commitment to addressing the nationwide shortage of certified aviation maintenance technicians, a role identified as critical across U.S. airlines, MROs, and OEMs.

• With the ability to train multiple cohorts annually, the program positions HAA as both a pilot training and maintenance training provider, expanding its scope in aviation workforce development.
