CBS Miami spoke with ATP Flight School on pilot shortage. According to Florida Training Support Manager Skeeter Moreno of the ATP Flight School, as cited by CBS Miami, there has been already a pilot shortage even before the pandemic but the need now is more dire and emphasized that the shortage is not only with the pilots.

Flight Standards Instructor Zachary Marcille of ATP said that airlines will need to hire over 12,000 pilots next year and that over the next 20 years, there will be a need of over 200,000 pilots.
