US University Purchases Boeing 737MAX Simulator
Canada’s Flightdeck Solutions (FDS), maker of fixed-base Flight Training Devices, announced that the company secured a deal with the University Of Central Missouri (UCM) to supply a B737MAX device.
The School Of Aviation at UCM is expected to unveil the B737MAX flight training device in the fall of 2022, helping advance the school’s simulation curriculum. Equipped with an enclosed instructor station and high-level instructor console the FDS-B737MAX-FTD device will help instructors deliver quality training in a spatially correct, fully tactile replica of a Boeing 737MAX cockpit.
“We’re excited to have University Of Central Missouri join the FDS family and we’re grateful for their confidence in our company” commented Peter Cos, President of Flightdeck Solutions. “From cockpit familiarization or basic procedures and checklist flows, to more advanced operations of a modern transport-class aircraft, training in our B737MAX can certainly give graduates a great advantage as they transition to real aircraft” he added. The FDS device is scheduled for delivery this summer.
