VR Pilot Training Solution Developer Announces Start of Airline Customer Training
The first class of pilots at US Low Cost Carrier JetBlue Airlines began to use Visionary Training Resources (VTR)’s virtual reality headsets in their training. This is a tremendous achievement for the VTR, JetBlue and the JetBlue Technology Ventures teams, disrupting over 80 years of airline pilot training practices.
It is also the first of multiple proofs of concept to collect data and information from a commercial airline. The data we collect is specifically designed to show the advantages of using VTR in pilot training but not necessarily every product utilizing VR technologies.
As a result of VTR’s deep airline roots and decades of aviation knowledge, its premier program FlightDeckToGo highlights the differences of having a training system that is built by pilots, for pilots.
