US Aviation Academy is looking for an Assistant Chief Pilot for its Texas base

This position is within the Operations division of US Aviation Academy. The primary focus of the Assistant Chief / Manager involves the quality and quantity of flight training in cooperation with customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement action plans to maintain exceptional safety standards and “…on‐time and on‐budget” results
  • Work closely with clients, management and staff
  • Work with other US Aviation managers to identify risks and opportunities
  • Control progress and production to meet deadlines
  • Lead and evaluate Supervisors and assigned staff
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize return on investment
  • Prepare reports for company clients, executives and shareholders
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Focused on safety initiatives
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relations with highly evolved customer service orientation
  • Proven ability to work with people in culturally diverse environments
  • Flight training experience under CFR 14 Part 141
  • Proven experience managing a team
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or related field/experience
  • Proven presentation skills

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing at a large FAA Part 141 Flight Training Academy or EASA training experience
  • Previous experience in a collegiate flight academy training environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Title IX (Federal civil rights law prohibiting discrimination)
  • Experience with Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • CFR 14 Part 121 Experience
  • CFI/CFII/MEI/ATP
