FTEJerez Celebrates First British Airways Cadets Completing IR Skill Test at New Oxford, UK Base
Spain & United Kingdom – FTEJerez has announced that its first cohort of British Airways Speedbird cadets (six in total) have successfully passed their Instrument Rating (IR) skill tests at FTEJerez’s newly launched London‑Oxford base — achieving a 100 % pass rate.
- The success underscores the promise of the newly established UK training base, which FTEJerez inaugurated in mid‑2025. The Oxford base is intended to support BA cadets and self‑sponsored trainees pursuing a UK or dual (EASA/UK) licence.
- British Airways’ Speedbird Pilot Academy is its fully funded cadet programme launched to lower financial barriers to pilot training. It covers the full cost of training for successful applicants.
- Over 50 cadets are currently undergoing integrated pilot training at FTEJerez under the fully funded scheme.
