“Summary

As part of the Strategy & Communications team, the Marketing Communications Lead will support in the development and execution of the company’s strategic priorities.  The goal for this position is to assist the Communication Group Leader in organizing and strategizing internal communications to all of Defense and Security. Day to day, this position may be asked to draft reports, coordinate content, track results, build relationships with sales team and customers, and otherwise support all marketing strategies. Valuable attributes include exceptional communication (verbal and written), teamwork, flexibility, organization, and a willingness to continue to learn.

You will have direct communication with our company’s executives and shape our company’s brand (both internally and externally).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategySupport internal communications (emails, memos, Social Media content, Hub/intranet content)Coordinate company events in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team and internal employee activities groupsParticipate in planning/coordination of team activities and employee engagement projectsAttend scheduled meetings with Executive Leadership, communication and marketingPrepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program successSupport the maintenance and development of internal tools, including a credentials database, tracking capability, global contact directory, and intranet sitesConduct research, as necessary to support or enhance strategic effortsHelp coordinate team travel and logistics as it relates to the Strategy and Communication department activityAssists with social media campaigns and programs.Manage team folders and keep working areas up-to-date and organized

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent discipline.Professional presence; confident, well spoken, articulate, and organized.Exhibit high performance and capability to work in a team environmentWork independently to defined deadlinesStrong editing and proofreading skillsCustomer service oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordDue to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Language Skills

Effectively present information and respond to comments and questions from all levels of the organizationAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret complex requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication and to deal with a variety of abstract ideas

Preferred Skills

Experience with SharePoint (ideal) and other folder sharing systemsExperience with CRM tools (Salesforce, GovWin CRM, etc.)Interest in the Defense & Aerospace industry

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
