Global Pilot Training Solution Provider Welcomes Stakeholders in the UK for a Discussion under the Flight Operations Liaison Group

L3Harris Commercial Aviation announced that Peter Hogston, Head of Training at L3Harris and Chairperson of the Flight Operations Liaison Group (FOLG) welcomed members including UK Civil Aviation Authority, CAE, Starspeed, Offshore Heli Support and FlightSafety International to their London Training Centre (LTC) in Crawley.

FOLG is an industry group established to influence future regulatory development and acts as a great opportunity to discuss, with industry leaders, the challenges the training industry faces on a daily basis and share ideas that will enhance safety and training quality.

According to L3Harris, the group is set to meet again early in 2024 at LTC.

Czech Republic-based Flight School F AIR Signs Agreement with Simulator Manufacturer Wright Brothers Flight Technology

Fixed-based simulator manufacturer Wright Brothers Flight Technology (WBFT) announced that F AIR, a flight training group based in Czech Republic, signed an agreement for two simulators i.e. a Boeing 737-800 FNPT II + MCC, and an Airbus 320 FNPT II + MCC.

The agreement was signed under the leadership of Head of Training, Capt. Miroslav Srnec, and Pilot Training Sales Manager, Katarina Képesiová during the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) 2023 in Cascais, Portugal.

“The signing ceremony marked an incredible milestone for both F AIR Flight School and Wright Brothers Flight Technology, solidifying our commitment to delivering cutting-edge training solutions in the aviation industry,” said WBFT.

The simulators, slated to commence operations from February 2024 at Prague Airport, will expand F AIR’s training horizons, offering course slots to ATOs, Airlines, and individuals seeking top-tier aviation training.

US Flight Training Group, Epic Flight Academy, Welcomes 21 New Students in November 2023

Florida, United States based Epic Flight Academy welcomed its 21 new flight students who completed their orientation day in November 2023 at its New Smyrna Beach Airport location.

Epic Flight Academy is an FAA-certified Part 141 flight school with its  home base is at the New Smyrna Beach (EVB), and its satellite locations are located at Ocala International Airport (OCF), Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) and Tucson, Arizona.

Earlier in November 2023 Epic Flight Academy announced its partnership with Purdue Global to offer an online bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or Professional Flight through the Purdue Global Aviation Program.

“We are pleased to partner with Epic Flight Academy through recognition of prior learning in both the professional flight and aviation management programs,” said Sara Sander, Purdue Global vice president, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and interim dean of the School of Aviation. “This partnership will help both parties work together to address the need for more pilots, as well as those who work in the aviation industry.”

Epic Flight Academy founder and CEO Danny Perna added, “Our flight students can earn up to 45 transfer credits through their Epic flight training with Purdue Global. We’re thrilled to offer them the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree at a school with such a rich aviation history.”

Participants in both programs can save up to $28,400 in tuition and complete the degree online in 2 to 3 years. They can work on their degree while they complete flight training or as they work as a full-time flight instructor.
