More than 110 European Pilot Training Organization Graduates Have Joined Ryanair in the Last 12 Months

Dublin, Ireland based Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) has recently conducted a graduation ceremony for over 30 cadets at Munster Technological University in Cork. These cadets  are part of the 110 Ryanair mentored cadets that have joined Ryanair from AFTA in the last 12 months and are now flying or in training to fly the Boeing 737 NG and the new Boeing 737 8200 fleet.

US Flight School, Sterling Flight Training, Announces New Airline Partnership

Sterling Flight Training announced a new partnership with Avelo Airlines for pilot recruitment. Under this agreement Sterling students meeting the minimum requirements will receive priority access to Avelo’s cadet program and pilot recruiting pipeline.

A rapidly expanding startup airline, Avelo opened a new crew base in Orlando this past June and will serve a total of 31 cities by November. With this growth comes the need to expand the airline’s pipeline of qualified pilots.

Avelo Airlines Head of Flight Operations, Scott Hall said, “We are excited to begin our partnership with Sterling Flight Training. Sterling continues to grow its enrollment and offers the top training and opportunities for its students. Through this partnership, we’ll be able to access some of the top talent and provide expedited entry into Avelo cockpits.”

Amid the demand for flight training, Sterling has seen its enrollment nearly double in two years and is continuing to grow. Offering aviation degree programs through Liberty University and Purdue Global University, as well as its own Part 141 tuition-based Career Pilot Training Program, the school is one of the top flight schools in the region. Announced in March, Sterling also launched a 100% financing option for career pilots, further reducing the barrier of entry to flight training.

“Our goal is to deliver top-tier flight training and provide students opportunities to advance their careers,” said Wayne Heller, CEO of Sterling Flight Training. “Partnerships like these allow them to secure an offer while still in the program, so they can focus on flying and moving on to their dream job after they finish their time with us. We are very excited for the opportunities Avelo has to offer our students.”
