Flag Carrier Air Mauritius Appoints Nominated Person Crew Training – Head of Training in 2024

Mauritius’s flag carrier Air Mauritius has appointed Captain André Johan Meiring as Nominated Person Crew Training – Head of Training as of July 2024. Capt. Meiring has been flying with Air Mauritius for almost 19 years on aircraft types such as A350, A330, A340 and A320.

Netherlands-based Dutch Aviation Trainers Receives Approval for Embraer E2 to E1 Difference Course

Dutch Aviation Trainers (DAT), a leading provider of pilot training solutions based in the Netherlands, has shared that it has received approval from the CAA-NL (Netherlands) for its Embraer E2 to E1 Difference course.

With this accomplishment, we were able to serve our valued customer Air Peace and Embraer. During a period of 6 weeks we have trained 16 crews, 32 pilots, to prepare them for operating on the EMB195-E1. After completing his own Difference Course, the training Manager of Air Peace, Captain Martin Nwanguma received his Course Completion Certificate presented by our Accountable Manager Rob Hol.

Congratulations to all Air Peace pilots for completing their training successfully! It was our pleasure and honor to conduct this training at such a short notice!

We now offer both the Embraer E1 to E2 and E2 to E1 course!” shared Dutch Aviation Trainers.

In March this year Dutch Aviation Trainers announced that it has received approval to conduct Type Rating Examiner (TRE) and Synthetic Flight Examiner (SFE) training for the Embraer 170/190 and Embraer 190-E2 series aircraft.

India’s flag carrier Air India which is planning to grow its fleet by 3x and which according to its CEO Campell Wilson will on average, induct one aircraft joining the fleet every six days throughout 2024, has announced that it is now accepting August 2024 applications for its Air India Cadet Pilot Program.

The dedicated abinitio cadet pilot program launched in February 2024 will see training begin at the Air India Training Academy in Gurgaon, India (Ground School) before flight training at one of its training locations/training partners before completing the type rating in the Air India Aviation Academy simulator training center.

Air India has partnered with two international flight training organisations:

Air India has partnered with a financial institution for cadets to avail financing for training. However, cadets are free to choose any other financial partner as per their convenience.
