ProSim Training Solutions Collaborates with Spanish Flight Training Group to Enhance Pilot Training

Spain – Flyschool Air Academy, a Spanish flight training group, has entered into a strategic partnership with Netherlands-based ProSim Training Solutions, a provider of advanced flight simulation systems, to enhance the knowledge of its students for the MCC and Type Rating training phases through integration of real-life MCDUs and ProSim’s FMS Trainer software.

  • The partnership will provide the academy’s students access to Multi-Function Control and Display Unit (MCDU) of various jet airliner types.

  • These MCDUs feature aircraft-grade components, high-resolution LCD displays, and backlit keypads, providing students with realistic interaction with commercial flight management systems.

  • ProSim’s FMS Trainer will also be used in training. This software simulates complete flight systems management from takeoff to landing, featuring a global navigation database for accurate route planning and execution.

Salamanca, Spain & Ireland – Adventia, the University of Salamanca’s pilot school, has signed a strategic agreement with Airline Flight Academy (AFA), Ryanair’s approved pilot training centre, to provide direct access for final-year students into Ryanair’s “Future Flyer Academy” program.

  • The collaboration grants Adventia students preferential access to Ryanair’s selection processes and supplementary training modules.

  • Over the next four years, more than 400 aspiring pilots are expected to benefit from this pathway, eventually joining Ryanair as Second Officers.

  • The Future Flyer Academy is Ryanair’s flagship initiative to train and recruit commercial pilots aligned with its operational standards.

  • Through this agreement, selected Adventia students will continue their training at AFA, gaining access to Ryanair-standard facilities and simulators.

  • The program is positioned as Ryanair’s preferred recruitment route for new commercial pilots, offering job placement upon successful completion.

CAE Welcomes First Customer to its New CAE Vienna Training Centre

  • Gulfstream G550 full-flight simulator (FFS) entered service in April
  • New Pilatus PC-24 FFS announced for Vienna

Austria – Global aviation training leader CAE has opened CAE Vienna, its first business aviation training centre in Central Europe and welcomed its first customer in April. The company also announced that a Gulfstream G550 full-flight simulator (FFS) is already in operation, and a new Pilatus PC-24 FFS will be deployed at the 8,000 square foot training facility in the second half of 2026.

CAE Vienna will feature up to nine full-flight simulators (FFS), including Europe’s first Bombardier Global 7500 FFS scheduled to enter service in June, a Global Vision and Embraer Phenom 100/300 FFS this summer, and a Bombardier Challenger 3500 in October 2025.

“We are very pleased that our first business aviation training centre in Central Europe is now open and offers customers an elevated training experience in a state-of-the-art facility. We look forward to expanding our capabilities at CAE Vienna with the addition of the Pilatus PC-24 FFS in 2026. This will be a very exciting year as new FFS enter service and we begin to welcome more customers to CAE Vienna,” said Alexandre Prévost, CAE’s Division President, Business Aviation. CAE Vienna complements the pilot and aircraft maintenance technician training delivered at CAE Burgess Hill in the United Kingdom.

“We were very excited to welcome Alexander Vagacs, Chairman of Avcon Jet, as our first customer at CAE Vienna. Alexander has trained with us for 25 years, and since founding Avcon Jet in 2007, we are proud to say that he has also entrusted the training of his pilots to CAE,” added Prévost. “Having simulators in Vienna is a fantastic step because, as a company based in Vienna, this gives easy access for our pilots and our crews to training in Central Europe,” commented Alexander Vagacs, Chairman of Avcon Jet, one of Europe’s major business aviation companies operating 100 aircraft worldwide. “It makes training much, much easier.”

Like all CAE training centres worldwide, CAE Vienna will offer all phases of classroom and simulator training for established pilots to earn their type-rating and complete recurrent training for differing authorities. The company will officially inaugurate the new training centre this fall.

CAE offers comprehensive maintenance technician training including type training, which expands beyond the traditional initial training to provide in-depth instruction on real maintenance cases. The company also offers engine run and taxi courses, technical training, including on avionics, as well as personal development courses geared at engaging, advancing and retaining maintenance technicians. These courses are available at CAE Vienna as well as at our training centres in Burgess Hill and Dubai. Our maintenance training team can also deliver training on-site at an operator’s facilities.
