CAE is Seeking Candidates for Assistant Flight Instructor Roles at Indian FTO in November 2025

India – CAE is seeking Assistant Flight Instructors / CPL holders (freshers or experienced) for its training programs at its flight training facility in India: CAE Gondia. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen the academy’s instructor team to support growing cadet intakes and uphold the CAE Global Academy’s international standards in ab initio training.

  • The Assistant Flight Instructor role involves delivering high-quality flight, simulator, and ground instruction while ensuring strict adherence to CAE Global Academy (CGA) training and safety standards, as well as Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulations.
  • Candidates are expected to “teach by example” by modeling professional and safety-conscious behavior, and to take an active role in monitoring student progress and maintaining training records.
  • Applicants must hold a valid CPL with a Flight Instructor/Assistant Flight Instructor rating, and an endorsement on the Diamond DA40.
  • The role includes conducting both practical and simulator training, supporting examinations, attending instructor standardization sessions, and contributing to safety and quality improvements across the academy.

  • The CAAV approval allows IAA to formally enroll Vietnamese students under an accredited training pathway from Private Pilot License (PPL) through Commercial Multi-Engine certification, aligned with FAA Part 141 standards.

  • IAA’s program provides full visa and logistical support, including housing assistance through its partner Collegiate Housing Services, ensuring a streamlined experience for international cadets relocating for training.

  • IAA operates from DuPage County Airport (KDPA) near Chicago with a 30,000-square-foot training facility, a fleet of over 30 aircraft, and a simulator-equipped satellite base at DeKalb Airport.

In June of 2025 SEG hosted a delegation from Vietnam’s low-cost carrier VietJet at its Illinois Aviation Academy facility to explore collaborative training efforts and regulatory alignment.

  • VietJet representatives visited Illinois Aviation Academy, a flight school acquired by Spartan Education Group in October 2024.

  • The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration on pilot training techniques and ensure alignment with CAAV (Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority) certification standards.

  • Discussions were held between VietJet officials and the Spartan leadership team on potential future training pathways for Vietnamese cadet pilots.
