Acron Aviation Academy Completes First Cohort of Safety Course for Flag Carrier

Florida, USA – Acron Aviation Academy, the Sanford based flight training organisation of Acron Avaition, has announced the successful graduation of its inaugural cohort from the newly launched Safety Course, marking the first five pilots to complete this five‑day intensive programme.

  • The Acron Aviation Safety Certificate is designed to develop aviation professionals in the areas of safety management, human factors and operational risk mitigation.

  • The curriculum combines lectures, case‑studies and hands‑on data‑analysis to give participants a comprehensive understanding of modern aviation safety principles applied in airlines, training academies and UAS operations.

The graduation was attended by leadership from the Air India Training Academy.

The P2006T NG (Next Generation) represents the evolution of Tecnam’s renowned twin-engine trainer, long recognized as the aircraft of choice for leading flight schools worldwide. Equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXi integrated glass cockpit, improved ergonomics, and Rotax 912 iS Sport engines, the aircraft delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and superior training capability.

The delivery ceremony, held at Tecnam’s Capua headquarters, also included two new Tecnam P2008JC aircraft, further expanding Professional Aviation’s growing fleet. These two new aircraft will enhance the Academy’s single-engine training capacity and ensure consistent fleet standardization across all training phases.

Professional Aviation Academy, an EASA (IT.ATO.034) and GCAA-approved international flight training organization based at Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna, Italy), operates one of the most modern and technologically advanced fleets in Europe. The Academy currently flies 22 Tecnam aircraft, with additional units on the way, supporting the training of more than 350 students from around the world.

The Operations function is also being strengthened with an expanded role for Kim Bennett, who takes on responsibility for both the operations teams and student support as Senior Operations Manager. Kim’s deep knowledge of the business and her student-first mindset make her ideally placed to lead both teams through the next stage of development.

Also new to the Aeros team is Tom Hay, who joins as Maintenance Base Manager. A keen aviator himself, Tom now leads Aeros’ aircraft maintenance facility and is responsible for the care and upkeep of the Aeros training fleet, as well as supporting a growing number of customer aircraft.
