Indian Government Introduces Policy to Accelerate Growth of Drone Pilot Training Organisations

A conditional exemption was granted by the Civil Aviation Ministry to the Indian Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to fast track the processing of applications for authorization of remote pilot training organizations.

Stipulated in the Drone Rules is that any person who intends to obtain authorization that will provide for the establishment of a remote pilot training organization must submit an application to the Indian DGCA, addressed to the Director General, thru DigitalSky platform.

The authorization, accordingly, is done through emails. The applicant must have successfully submitted all documentary requirements. Collection of fees may also be done through suitable means.

This forms part of the decentralized drone pilot certification as India is proactive in supporting its drone sector.

Vietnam Aviation Expo Invites Pilot Training Organisation and Suppliers to September Event to Meet with Airlines and Aspiring Pilots

The organizers of the Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022, the leading aviation event in Vietnam, taking place between the 15th to 17th of September at the Vietnam National Conference Center in Hanoi have extended an invitation to Flight Schools, Simulator Training Centers and Pilot Training Industry Suppliers from around the globe to express their interest in attending and receiving more information.

The event which is sponsored by Boeing is attended by a large number of airlines and is an ideal place for International Flight Schools to set up a meeting spot with aspiring pilots from Vietnam.

Vietnam is currently the fastest domestic recovery market in the world with an analysis by Airbus and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) using statistics about the flight numbers from Flightradar24 and Airbus indicating that Vietnam’s domestic aviation market is showing a growth rate of 123 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

In line with the recovery the Vietnamese airlines have expressed confidence and are back in expansion mode with Vietjet recently confirming their order for 200 Boeing 737MAX aircraft on top of their large Airbus order book.

Vietnam’s pilot training infrastructure is still in the early stages of development with currently one Flight School being active and a second Flight School about to start operations. The small domestic flight training infrastructure is not able to cater to the strong domestic demand for pilots resulting in opportunities for international flight schools.

Both the countries Flight Schools and Simulator Training Centers have continued to expand even throughout the pandemic and will be attending the Expo providing a great opportunity for suppliers to meet with them.

For more information about the Expo/Event please contact us and we will send you more information.
