US University Seeking to Hire Flight Training Manager for Flight Operations Oversight in 2025

Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA – Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has announced an opening for a Flight Training Manager within its College of Basic & Applied Sciences, seeking to strengthen its flight training operations.

  • The Flight Training Manager will oversee all university flight lab courses, directly supervise Assistant Flight Training Managers and staff flight instructors, and liaise with the FAA and TSA regarding flight training operations.

  • The role includes performing key administrative tasks to ensure the effective delivery of MTSU’s flight training programs.

  • The salary range for the position is between $71,227 and $90,103, commensurate with experience.

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and an FAA Flight Instructor Certificate, and meet FAA 141 Chief Flight Instructor qualifications.

  • Required experience includes five years of progressively responsible flight instruction experience with both primary and advanced students, along with prior experience in flight school operations.
