Boeing Delivers 130 Aircraft in Q1 2025 Amid Order Surge and Production Ramp-Up

United States – Boeing’s first quarter 2025 results reflected strong momentum in aircraft production and new commercial orders, supporting its path to recovery. The company delivered 130 commercial aircraft and booked 221 net new orders, pushing its total commercial airplane backlog to over 5,600 units valued at $460 billion.

  • Boeing delivered 130 commercial aircraft in Q1 2025, up from 83 in Q1 2024, representing a 57% year-on-year increase.

  • The 737 program continued a gradual production ramp-up and is expected to reach a rate of 38 aircraft per month within 2025.

  • The 787 program remained stable at five aircraft per month, with a planned increase to seven per month later in the year.

  • The 777X program advanced with expanded FAA certification flight testing; first delivery of the 777-9 remains on schedule for 2026.

  • Notable Q1 orders included:

    • 20 Boeing 777-9 and 20 Boeing 787-10 aircraft for Korean Air

    • 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft for BOC Aviation

  • Boeing’s commercial backlog rose to $460 billion, representing more than 5,600 aircraft.
