ATP Flight School Announces 2025 Type Rating and ATP CTP Scholarship Winners and Expands Alumni Career Support

Jacksonville Beach, FL, USA — ATP Flight School is proud to announce winners of the first of four 2025 alumni scholarship giveaways, recognizing two graduates who will receive fully-sponsored advanced training courses. Drake Steele, a Multi-Engine Flight Instructor at ATP’s Phoenix-Mesa Gateway training center, has been awarded a scholarship for an Airbus A320 Type Rating course. Jay Ribar, a Multi-Engine Flight Standards Instructor based in Fort Myers, FL, has been selected to receive a scholarship for the Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) at ATP JETS in Dallas, TX.

These awards mark the launch of ATP’s new quarterly scholarship initiative aimed at advancing alumni careers. Each quarter, ATP alumni and instructors will have the opportunity to apply for and win scholarships covering the full cost of an Airbus A320 Type Rating or ATP CTP course—totaling over $15,000 in training value—at ATP’s Part 142 training center, ATP JETS.

Reinforcing its ongoing support for graduates, ATP has expanded its alumni outreach by sponsoring passes for up to 10 alumni each quarter to attend industry conferences and expos. Year to date, 30 alumni have received sponsored passes to events including the Women in Aviation International (WAI) Conference, SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo, and Professional Asian Pilots Association (PAPA) Expo.

“These opportunities are already having a meaningful impact on alumni, creating direct pathways to career advancement,” said Michael Arnold, Vice President of Marketing, ATP Flight School. “One graduate who was sponsored to attend the WAI Conference now has three airline interviews scheduled. Another, who was sponsored to attend SUN ‘n FUN, has already secured a class date with a major airline. These outcomes reflect ATP’s ongoing commitment to supporting graduates well beyond flight training, by providing the resources they need to succeed throughout their careers.”

ATP has also announced a new partnership with Spitfire Elite, offering alumni exclusive discounts on professional major airline interview preparation. To broaden access for graduates, ATP will fully sponsor two alumni per month for this comprehensive prep service.

These new benefits complement ATP’s no-cost, no-fee Alumni Association offerings, including lifetime access to the Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC) through King Schools. To date, ATP has invested over $750,000 in FIRCs for alumni, reinforcing its commitment to career-long development.
