Global Operator of Full Flight Simulator Training Centers Appoints Assistant Manager Simulator Maintenance in the Middle East

United States headquartered global operator of full flight simulator training centers Avenger Flight Group has appointed Michael Martusevich as its new Assistant Manager for Simulator Maintenance for its training center in Israel. Back in June 2023 Israel’s flag carrier EL AL Israel Airlines announced it will build an advanced simulator facility, the first of its kind in Israel, which will house Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 simulators. The facility will be built by Avenger Flight Group (AFG), an American company that specializes in the construction and operation of advanced simulators and training facilities for aviation pilots around the world. The facility will be about 2,400 square meters and 14 meters high, with a ground floor with two additional gallery floors.

Ankara, Turkiye headquartered flight simulator manufacturer has delivered the 5th full flight simulator to Turkish Airlines. The latest device, an Airbus A320 full flight simulator, which was delivered and installed in May 2024 and is currently undergoing site acceptance test, is the second Airbus A320 full flight simulator HAVELSAN has delivered to Turkish Airlines in 2024 and forms part of the airlines procurement contract for a total of eleven Airbus A320 ceo/neos and Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators and FTDs.

In the month of May, another HAVELSAN constructed full flight simulator operated by Turkish Airlines achieved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification. “We are thrilled to announce the first Airbus A320 EASA full flight simulator certification of a HAVELSAN-manufactured device in 2024. It symbolizes our shared dedication with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training infrastructure meets standards from around the globe,” stated Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D CEO of HAVELSAN.

In 2023 a number of HAVELSAN Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators achieved EASA Level D Certification and HAVELSAN supported Turkish Airline through a training center partnership.

In 2024 HAVELSAN announced it would ramp up activities and support for airlines and simulator training centers including the ability to manufacturer up to eight full flight simulators per year as well as work with airlines to support them expanding their simulator training center operations through flexible solutions.
