Jen Liddle, Co-Founder of Aeroplanned a fast growing strategic planning and forecasting tool for the pilot training industry reflected on her recent attendance of the 19th Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium;

“The week also allowed us at Aeroplanned to reflect on how far we’ve come since the last conference we attended in Orlando back in April. It’s been incredible to witness the growing interest in our software and we’re thrilled to be on the radar of industry professionals and organisations alike. It meant I didn’t get much of a chance to attend the presentations at the conference this time around, but the one I did get to was again highlighting staggering statistics about the looming pilot shortage. How can the industry keep up with those numbers?

Part of the problem is not understanding the size of the problem – there’s currently very little data available to determine the throughput of pilots through the training pipeline. We’re only a new company, but we are already starting to generate this information on a small scale – flight training schools through to their partner airlines with accuracy and transparency. It’s pretty exciting to think about the visibility we can provide as we grow and gather larger datasets!”
