UK Flight School Offers A Distance Learning Option With Ground School Provider

10th Oct 2022

Popular United Kingdom Flight School – FTA Global has teamed up with Ground School Provider – Bristol Ground School to offer a distance learning option for their Advanced Modular Package.

FTA Global’s popular Advanced Modular Package provides a modular student who has a PPL, night rating and the prerequisite hours to progress to a dual licence, tailored package which includes all appropriate training for the airlines. The modules included in the Advance Modular Package include ATPL Theory, CPL, MEP, MEIR, A-UPRT, MCC / APS, CV workshops and Professional Development workshops at an inclusive and affordable price.

Traditionally, FTA provide a Classroom based ATPL Theory course, giving the students a highly supported nine month dual licence course featuring 7 hours a day in the classroom for 5 days a week, consolidation assignments in the evening and instructor supported revision sessions every day.

FTA are now thrilled to team up with Bristol Ground School (BGS) to provide a distance based learning option for their ATPL Theory course as part of the Advanced Modular Package – allowing students to study from home at their own pace whilst being fully supported by the BGS training package which includes, ATPdigital their Computer-based training (CBT) system, live and recorded webinars, question bank access and their intensive instructor led revision weeks – the carefully designed distance learning package for which BGS is known for.

Now the student will have more control over their course structure in the delivery of the ATPL Theory. All Advanced Modular Package students will be able to choose a teaching style that suits them; at a distance with the full package of online or in-person revision weeks, CBT and webinar support, or in the classroom with their peers and with face to face tuition and daily one to one instructor supported revision session. Both options include first attempt exam fees and relevant course equipment and materials.

Sean Jacob, Managing Director, FTA says: “At FTA, we offer an exceptional classroom-based ATPL Theory course with expert instructors who are incredibly professional and supportive to every student – it’s what we are known for. We were the first ATO to move to a nine-month ATPL Theory programme to accommodate better knowledge retention and the additional Dual Licencing commitments; the result of which has increased our first-time pass rate with a high average pass mark. However, we are seeing a demand from overseas students who want to carry out their theoretical studies at home and we are seeing a demand from ‘career changers’ who want to get through their training at a faster pace because of their financial commitments. With BGS being the experts in distance learning, we felt they would be a fantastic partner for us to introduce this option. We are delighted to work with BGS to help further address the needs of the individual student.”

Alex Whittingam, Managing Director, BGS says: “We are very pleased to be working with FTA Global to support their offer of modular training for both EASA and UK CAA licences simultaneously and at no extra cost, it has to be the way to go.”
