US Flight School Looking to Expand Partnerships with Colleges and Universities

28th Jul 2022

US Flight School Revv Aviation is looking to expand offering flight services to existing and up-and-coming Part 141 aviation programs at two- and four-year secondary education institutions.

“We have 33 years of flight training experience, and 15 years as the flight service provider for the University of Nebraska-Omaha Aviation Institute’s degreed aviation programs,” said Lisa LaMantia, chief operating officer for Revv Aviation.

Revv has more than 2,000 flight school graduates earning certifications from private pilot license to Airline Transport Pilot. In the past 12 months, more than 20 Revv students have been hired by regional airlines. Revv has established programs with SkyWest and Envoy.

Community colleges, technical schools and universities are looking for programs that will fill immediate career gaps, and aviation is an industry that is in dire need of pilots, mechanics, avionics technicians and line crew.

“We can work with institutions on an FAA-approved Part 141 flight curriculum that they can quickly implement in order to draw additional students to their schools,” said LaMantia.

More than 150 students are enrolled in the UNO Aviation Institute, are completing their flight requirements with Revv Aviation in Council Bluffs and at Eppley Airfield in Omaha.

“We have enjoyed working with Lisa and Revv Aviation for a number of years,” said Scott Vlasek, director of the UNO Aviation Institute. “As one of our approved flight training providers, they provide our students with exceptional training and a commitment to safety and our students’ well-being. The relationship between Revv Aviation and the UNO Aviation Institute is one built on safety, student focus, and a commitment to working with each other. Revv Aviation is a great partner, and I would be happy to speak with anyone interested in building a relationship with them.”

Revv has several offerings that benefit people in aviation.

• Its pilot training is VA-approved, which is a benefit for students on the GI Bill as well as for those who have rotorcraft experience and want fixed-wing certification as well

  • Second-in-command (SIC) charter pilot positions are open to its flight instructors for career advancement
  • It offers CFI opportunities for Chief / Assistant / Stage Check / Aerobatic Instructor positions
  • More than 50 training aircraft and 40 certified flight instructors across our nine flight school locations – Aurora and Schaumburg, Ill.; Janesville, Wisconsin.; Council Bluffs, Davenport, Muscatine and Sioux City, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska.; and Huron, South Dakota.
