Aeroplanned Enhances Special Events Report for Flight Schools

Global – Aeroplanned, a popular flight training organisation resource planning software provider, has rolled out key improvements to its Special Events Report, a feature aimed at solving one of the most complex aspects of training administration—scheduling flight tests.

“Aeroplanned’s latest changes to the Special Events Report are going to make a real difference for our operation. Being able to see exactly when students will be ready for their flight tests means we can book examiners with as much notice as possible – minimizing delays and ensuring the right students get scheduled at the right times.” – Robert R., Chief Revenue Officer, Kilo Charlie Aviation

  • The enhanced Special Events Report provides training teams with clear, actionable insights into student readiness, enabling them to plan examiner bookings with greater accuracy and lead time

  • These updates are designed to reduce delays and inefficiencies commonly caused by the unpredictable nature of student progress and limited examiner availability

  • The improvements help eliminate the “guessing game” associated with coordinating flight tests, offering a more structured, data-driven approach for planning critical assessments

  • The feature supports Aeroplanned’s broader mission to streamline training operations and provide flight schools with tools that improve resource allocation and scheduling precision

Global Aviation Partners with Ordovás & Partners to Launch Full-Scale International Brand Transformation

Athens, Greece – Global Aviation, one of Greece’s most established and respected EASA-approved pilot training academies, has officially signed a strategic agreement with international consultancy Ordovás & Partners (O&P) to undertake a full 360-degree rebranding and global expansion initiative. The agreement was signed last week at Global Aviation’s headquarters by Petros and Alexandros Tsaktanis, representing the legacy and leadership of Global Aviation, and Jaime Ordovás and Ryan Stock, founders of O&P, captured in a momentous photo symbolizing the school’s bold step into its next chapter.

With 28 years of operational excellence, impeccable safety record, and more than 2,000 graduates flying across the globe, Global Aviation is recognized for delivering airline-standard training within a family-oriented culture of mentorship and care. As the aviation industry becomes more competitive and digitally driven, Global’s leadership has identified the need to evolve its brand and outreach to match the strength of its product and the scale of its future ambitions.

“We are proud of what we’ve built over the years – strong foundations, a culture of care, and world-class training standards. Now, it’s time to align our brand and growth strategy with our long-term vision of becoming a top-tier European academy,” said Petros Tsaktanis, CEO of Global Aviation.

A New Chapter: Global Becomes Truly Global

Under the newly signed agreement, O&P will spearhead a comprehensive 360-degree brand transformation, elevating Global Aviation’s identity and visibility on the international stage. This initiative will encompass a full rebranding of the school’s visual identity, including a refined logo, cohesive design system, and a more defined tone of voice across all digital and physical brand assets.

In tandem with the rebrand, O&P will develop and execute international marketing and advertising campaigns tailored to key regions. Alongside this, a global business development strategy will be crafted to help Global Aviation enter more complex markets and attract top-tier students from around the world.

The collaboration will also see the rollout of a new CRM ecosystem and digital onboarding process—automating communications, improving lead conversion, and enhancing the student experience from first contact to classroom. Central to the strategy will be the creation of a premium value proposition for both airline partners and prospective cadets, supported by elevated brand storytelling and positioning that reflect Global’s true level of training excellence and care.

“This is more than a facelift – it’s about aligning perception with reality. Global Aviation already trains to airline-level standards. Our mission is to project that image globally with the same precision and professionalism that defines their operations,” said Jaime Ordovás, CEO of Ordovás & Partners.

Strategic Alignment with Vision 2030

The rebrand is directly aligned with the Tsaktanis brothers’ long-term strategic vision for Global Aviation to become one of the Top 10 aviation academies in Europe by 2030. This includes enrolling 250+ students annually, expanding into type ratings and FFS simulator training, and operating fully from Ikaros Airport, the school’s soon-to-be-launched private training hub.

“We want Global to become a niche, elite academy where quality and consistency speak louder than volume. This partnership is a crucial step in making that future a reality,” added Alexandros Tsaktanis.

Backed by Research and Insight

Prior to the agreement, O&P conducted a thorough institutional audit involving interviews with over 20 stakeholders, including students, instructors, postholders, and the sales and operations teams. The results reflected a deep sense of satisfaction, unity, and commitment across the school confirming that the brand’s internal values were strong, but externally under-communicated.

From flight instructors praising the standardization efforts, to students reporting higher-than-expected satisfaction and strong professional development, the insights provided a clear foundation for building a brand that reflects Global’s true internal excellence.

About Global Aviation
Founded in 1997, Global Aviation is an EASA-approved flight training organization headquartered in Athens, Greece. With over 28 years of training tradition, Global provides ATPL Integrated training through airline-standard SOPs, a strong safety record, and a culture rooted in care, professionalism, and consistency.

About Ordovás & Partners
O&P is a strategic consulting and branding agency with over 10 years of experience specializing in aviation and education. The firm helps training organizations and aviation academies scale globally through full-service brand development, CRM integration, digital transformation, and international business expansion.

Over the past decade, O&P has played a pivotal role in the success of several leading flight schools. In 2015, the firm launched the international expansion of Quality Fly, positioning it as a value-for-money destination and attracting students from over 40 countries. The partnership included a complete rebranding, web and fleet redesign, marketing campaigns, and the creation of a digital infrastructure that helped the school rise as a major player in Spain.

In 2018, FlyBy brought O&P on board to lead its global marketing and sales strategy. Over five years, O&P transformed the brand, implemented a high-performing CRM system, developed flagship programs such as the FlyBy Cadet Program and ATPD Bachelor’s Degree with Burgos University, and helped grow annual revenue from €2 million to nearly €23 million, achieving full program capacity by late 2023.

Most recently, AELO Swiss Academy (formerly Aero Locarno) entrusted O&P with its rebranding and international expansion. Within one year, enrollment doubled and revenue surged with projections set for continued rapid growth into 2025. These milestones reflect O&P’s strength in combining strategy, storytelling, and operational excellence to drive measurable results.

Now, in partnership with Global Aviation, O&P will bring this same expertise to modernize the brand, elevate its international profile, and help realize its ambitious goals for growth, performance, and global positioning.
