Türkiye – SunExpress, the Turkish‑German leisure airline and joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for its first Boeing 737‑800 NG Flight Training Device (FTD‑2), developed and manufactured by HAVELSAN.

SunExpress ordered up to 90 Boeing 737-8 and 737-10 aircraft and plans to double its fleet within the next decade, reaching 150 aircraft by 2033. The carrier plans to hire over 1500 new pilots by 2033 for its expanding fleet.
